Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day is an important holiday in North America which celebrates the successful harvest of some of the first European settlers here.
The first Thanksgiving took place in almost four hundred years ago. It was in the English colony of Massachusetts. In 1620, the Pilgrims who were a religious group from Engliand arrived in Plymouth, Massachuletts. The Pilgrims' first winter was very hard. The Wampanoag who were a trible of Native Americans in Massachusettes helped them to hunt, grow corn and survive in the New World. When the next winter came, the pilgrims got enough food. They were grateful and invited the Wampanoag to the feast to give them thankfulness.
This is my first Thanksgiving Day in Canada with my family. I prepared a great dinner with my family. We had smoked turkey, Chinese dumplings by ourselves and so on. This is my first time to deal with turkey at home. It was so delicious! Happy Thanksgiving Day to everyone!
